What a wonderful walk to enjoy from afar where the mud and dampness are nowhere to be seen. Not that I couldn't find an equally muddy walk hike near me - but now I don't have to do so. Thank you and your boots and your trousers for the adventure.

You're welcome!

I'm not sure how long it's going to take my poor boots to dry out, but it was an excellent walk to see out November.

They do loom wonderfully in the fog!

That was one seriously atmospheric walk. I was so pleased to hear that you had managed to find Beaminster again!

It was a relief to find Beaminster again. The West Dorset landscape can be a little strange, and you can never quite be sure where or when the paths will take you...

Yes. There may be stunning views from the hilltop on a clear day, but I will always love the fog best!

It's been a long time since we had a clear day! And the days are getting shorter, this darkness and gloom are depressing. I am so happy when the days start to get longer, but there is still a whole month to go before that happens.

Yes, it's enough that the nights are long. The days should not be gloomy as well... But December and January are not famed for their sunshine here. ))

Thanks!

I love being up on the hills in the fog. The way the trees loom out of nothingness and the paths fade into nothingness.
