Not quite a complete pea-souper yesterday. I could see my hand in front of my face! I have been up on the hills in fog so thick that the path vanishes altogether.
I grew up in a village on the edge of the army ranges, so all my life I've been used to the "MILITARY FIRING RANGE - KEEP OUT" notices, and the idea that there might be unexploded shells lying round on the other side of the barbed wire.
