I'm really excited for you for this trip. Remember to take a picture or two, even if you don't have a camera glued to your face.

I'm reading "Lonely Werewolf Girl" right now and I absolutely love it. It's kinda big, at around 550 pagee. The length is good so you'll be able to have a nice long book. The size is bad because it's a big long book.

Might it be good to get a beater copy of whatever you bring. If it gets rained on, no big deal. If the mountain squirrels rip out a few pages, no big deal.

You are going to Kilimanjaro? I should have realized sooner. How awesome!

I haven't been reading for pleasure, so I have no suggestions. I think taking a used book is a good idea, if you have to leave it somewhere, you won't be disappointed.

You are taking a camera, right?

I'd do a Charle DeLint book myself. I love his books and have been reading the one you sent me Triskell Tale. I still have it and haven't released it yet but will soon as the weather gets nicer. Have a great time on your trip and be careful!

My recent reading has mostly been non-fiction related to my trip to Australia, but there are a couple of recent novels I can recommend. The Veil of Gold by Kim Wilkins is one and Thirteen Orphans: Breaking the Wall by Jane Lindskold is another. Both are partially based in mythology from non-English-speaking cultures.
