Putting aside the contentious issue of abortion, this would effectively outlaw birth control and criminalize women who have miscarriages. This is not a good thing.

Jesus H. Fucking Christ. Why are these people fucking crazy?

...I am livid. Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I will spread this around as much as possible. I want my rights to not have a child if I don't want one and these assholes are not going to take that away from me.

I just heard about this from a friend on Facebook. We are goddamn terrified. Not just for ourselves, but for anyone who miscarries, because now not only does that poor woman (and their partner as well) have to deal with the tragedy of a miscarriage, but she's now prosecuted for it. I can't see how any self-respecting person could do this. I know that Personhood USA is promoting this as an anti-abortion argument (and I'm sure they've got problems with in vitro and birth control too) but the implications are so much more than that. What judge would rule that a woman who miscarried and their doctor should be put in jail? Well, now they would have to.

Since Facebook was so effective in the recent redefining rape incident, I'm going to utilize it to its fullest ability, especially now that my midterms are done.
