Merry Christmas, y'all. What did you get this year? I FINALLY HAVE A KINDLE, which is going to eat up all my money but which means I can carry around thousands of books in my purse and thus makes me deliriously happy in ways I cannot properly express

So am I -- I spend most of my Yuletide energy worrying about what the heck I'm going to write and whether I'm going to finish in time, and tend to think less about the gift I'm going to get. So my gifts always kind of hit me as a surprise, and I think I enjoy them even more because of that.
