hey, at the moment? bored, for the most part. I'm taking the year off before grad school (obviously) and working at a law firm. which makes sense from a money standpoint, but it's really, really boring. I can't wait to be back in school.
what about you? you're not in maryland anymore, right? what are you up to now?
I'm still in Maryland unfortunately. I'm not sure where I'll be in the next six months, though. There's alot on my plate, as usual. Since I've been living on my own since forever (over four years now) it's been a struggle just to eat and pay rent. I'm still in school, majoring in philosophy.
I'm working too much, playing alot of guitar and writing less than I should be. Where are you at now?
I'm still in philly -- living at home this year. that's rent money I'm going to need for next year, especially if I end up going to grad school in new york. ideally I'll get a fellowship somewhere and it won't really be an issue, but if I end up in the same situation as I was in last year (got into a program, but no funding, and no money because hey, I just graduated college) I'll have enough money saved that it won't be financially untenable for me to go.
and yeah, the whole work thing makes reading/writing/just plain thinking a lot harder to do. which might be a problem, given I plan to be a professional nerd (read: college professor). this is actually the first bit of completely free time I've had in a while -- normally it's work all day during the week and then going out to my college to see my boyfriend on the weekends. (which that huge impending winter storm of doom kind of makes travel a bad idea this weekend. hence the free time.)
generally, yeah. everyone I know who's been there has told me that longer response time = longer you're in the running. I was personally getting excited when I realized it was almost march and hadn't heard anything yet.
