Bring on the Tri! lazip May 14 2008, 16:38:21 UTC
YAY!!! Without stopping, in three months, is amazing. I've never made that much progress with swimming, the hardest of all activities for me. I might be able to swim 3 lengths without stopping. Way to go, weiner!!

Thanks!!! When I actually looked at the dates and the progress I was kind of in awe of myself. I might be walking the 5k and coasting on the bike, but dammit, I can swim that half mile!

Have you started working on your stuff in the order you'll do the Tri? That is the hardest thing for me-- stacking that stuff, although I'm okay swim to bike, I suck at bike to run.

I haven't done any swim to run yet, I've put the bike & run together a couple of times with half distances just to get used to the feeling. I haven't tried to jog after the whole bike distance, though. And when I put them together at all, my legs are thrashed the whole next day, so I have to do it the day before I plan on taking a break anyway.

Like, I biked to/from the gym yesterday (5m round trip) and ran my 3.2 m at the gym, and felt pretty okay.... until I bent the wrong way last night, pulled all my muscles, and now my legs and butt are made of pain.

It's a really good thing that the only thing I have to do the day after the tri is fly home and feel victorious.
