I'm really sick of psuedo-friends. Friends who'll talk and hang out when it's convenient but other than that they don't give a rat's ass. Is it so hard to be compassionate? To see or hear someone is having a bad day and ask "hey, what's wrong?". Are you really that selfish that doing something like that is like pulling teeth? I'm talking about the people who expect sympathy and baaaws when they have problems, but don't return the kindness to others. It really serves to make one feel isolated and unwanted.
You know, that's a pet peeve of mine too. If you're close enough to consider someone as a friend and they to consider you one, a simple thing such as asking you how you are, how your day was, or what's wrong like you said shouldn't be so hard.
For me, I don't consider someone a real friend unless I know for sure they're the type of person who would be concerned for me if something were to happen to me to make me feel that way. Maybe it's a little cynical and closed-minded, but...Friends are supposed to be there for you, right? I hope I can say the same thing about myself towards my friends, at least.
