Longarm Puggle goes to Tokyo! PART TWO

May 04, 2013 15:20

Here we are!

Part two my adventure in the city of Tokyo!

It has a great deal of large images, so click below to see!

First, I wanted to familiarize myself with the local language. You never know what phrase will come in handy!

Though, some of it was quite difficult. The language format is simply so different!

But onwards I went, hopeful that I could make my way in this big city.

A festival known as Children's Week was coming up, so there were a great deal of beautiful displays.

Armor was everywhere! It was so splendid!

We also found many arcades, and although I was too distracted by all the machines and play to take many photos, THIS caught my eye.

It's a crane machine for snacks.

For Pringles, specifically.

I wasn't aware that Pringles were so highly sought after in Japan.

The more you know!

Tokyo felt very much like home.

No, we did not actually eat there. But it felt like home!

Aha! Our destination for the day!

I've heard many great things about this store!

This was on the outside of the Pokemon Store in Tokyo.

Sadly, they would not allow photography inside the building -- sad, as there were some fantastic displays! -- but we did try to sneak in a couple of the outdoor views.

It truly was a great shopping center.

..And I walked out of it with a new friend. Hello, Charizard!

Anyway, we ventured forth from the Pokemon store.

Even the streets in Tokyo were beautiful. This was a grate on the floor! On the sidewalk!

Though, Tokyo also seemed to be filled with many odd creatures. Mostly at night.

And sometimes hiding in trees.

Eventually, we had to go inside buildings, as we could not hunt for monsters or other magical creatures.

Tokyo Tower and Skytree were visited, but that's for another posting.

Meanwhile, here's me with a miniature! Huzzah!

Children's Week has some of the grandest displays.

I wish they had a helmet in my size!

I wanted to wear them, but none of them would fit.

As the day wound down to a close, I did find one last little surprise.

A snack!

A little shop had these face-shaped cookies.

I do believe it rather looks like me. Don't you think?

Tomorrow, I will post more from my adventure!

....

Bonus window display!
