Longarm Puggle goes to Tokyo! PART THREE

May 05, 2013 18:46

Yes! Hello again!

Part three of my adventure in Tokyo. Today is a food edition! Hooray!

As usual, it's very image intensive, so click below!

Tokyo had a great deal of restaurants and cafes. So many cafes.

Cafes were hiding in off-streets and hole-in-the-wall nooks.

But I decided, one day, to eat in an authentic tatami room.

I has my own little tatami mat in my own little spot.

It was rather quite nice.

The menu was so grand! So many local dishes and... Fish.

Lots of fish.

And sauces! Wasabi and hot sauces and some sauces I truthfully had no idea what they were.

Mystery!

...They claimed to have thousand and ten thousand year old sake.

The so-called 'ten thousand' year old sake was a bit out of my price range, but I did decide to order a bottle of the 'thousand year old' one. A bottle, at least, I can bring home!

The bottle of thousand year old sake.

I suspect it's merely the flavor. The bottle had a twist cap!

But it was delicious.

Highly delicious.

So delicious, I was tipsy for quite some time.

I have no memory of this photograph.

I have no idea why I was trying to fit myself in it. But it must have been for one heck of a good reason!

Also, fish. And now there is a story for this fish.

The restaurant had a little lake of water by the tables. There, you could rent a little basic fishing pole to try and catch a fish. Should you catch a fish, they will cook that fish however you like!

...It was still moving a little when it came to the table. Likely nerves firing off, but still...

It was a very unique experience.

After the restaurant, I went to find dessert!

We passed this poster on the way.

We continued along, and then we found the reason for the poster!

At first, I was disappointed that I didn't find this cafe before eating.

Then I saw the prices on the menu.

Then I was fairly glad I had already eaten. It was very... Very expensive.

However, they did have snacks for sale!

Little Gundam snacks! Filled with cremes!

They looked delicious. I had to try one!

They smelled absolutely amazing. So many pastries, ready to be nommed upon.

This was my dessert.

It was filled with custard.

It was delicious.
