This one; said "Raise." betting 250 dollars. and this one; to himself, he muttered "500" seem to be just minor punctuation thingies

You know I like the story
And the poker babble is slightly daunting for someone like me who can only cheat and badly at that but [hopefully] useful for the rest of the story?
