Yama Kaminari is made of awesome. The invited us to a demonstration by a world record holder and amazing Japanese archer (Yumi). Seriously. They rock, regardless of what Xavier may say about their banners :-D That made me giggle inside, though. I totally agree.

Our camp was also struck with The Plague, which doesn't surprise me. Sometimes there's just some rogue bacteria on site that wreaks havoc. This was the year for it. Glad to hear everyone is on the mend.

Cool, and isn't "yumi" japanese for "longbow"?

Oops, sorry the plague hit your camp. Did you guys get nailed?

I was iffy for a couple of days-- thankfully no puking. But, I also had The Plague REALLY bad at Pennsic 32, so I knew to take it easy, drink lots of water, and rest any time I could. One of my campmates didn't, and he was sick for half the week. Everyone else was somewhere in between, with our common area looking like Jonestown during our afternoon naps.
