6 stings

Xavier got attacked by a paper wasp nest on Sunday and received 6 stings. He had a nice normal reaction which thankfully went away in about 10-15 minutes, because boy did it HURT.

He's fine. He talks about it matter-of-factly now.

Me: "Dad, Xavier got stung SIX TIMES yesterday."
Xavier: "Yeah, and it hurt."
Dad: "Ow, I bet!"
Xavier: "But I'm okay!"

I delivered your sympathy, though he refused the hug. (He's fickle like that.)

Is this his first set of stings, or had he been stung before?

He was stung last month by 1 yellow jacket, again a mild reaction. All he said was "Ow" which grew a little bit in intensity, but didn't even make him cry really. Lucky! That time, anyway. :)

Yipes! This has been a bad bad summer for wasps. I've been stung twice, although not at the same time. Glad it went away so soon!
