I hate MySpace and everything like it. What kind of place makes you join just to stalk people? Pointless. I'll just have to confine my internet stalking to LJ and Google. I don't even care

Depends on the place you're applying. I was in, like, the 51st percentile for math, but the 99th for reading (I think), and I got a 6 on my writing. And I got in, which was all I cared about.
I'm not too worried about the writing, but my little pre-tests don't bode well for the rest. I'm not sure what my skill with geometry and analogies is supposed to say about how successful I'd be in grad school, but I think it's a lot of bunk.
I just reminded myself that I was also taking the test with people who wanted to be math grad students. That was a lot better.
Also, we had some psycho call us at the GAPSA office and start yammering about doing away with the MCAT and the GRE because they had no ability to predict whether one would do well in med or grad school, and blah blah....so...yeah. The LSAT, on the other hand, has a lot to do with it, statistically, supposedly.
The LSAT makes more sense because it's tailored to a particular area of study. The GRE just seems so random and not very easy to relate to...well...any area of study.
