I miss those 7-11s in Taiwan too. I mean, we have them here in the States but it's not the same without the smell of tea eggs, a whole section of milk teas, and employees calling out, "quan-ling, quan-ling!" :(

Wow, I'm surprised that you like Luo buo gao. I love them too but I thought the texture would be too weird for folks who weren't raised on it. I get them here in the States fried with eggs. Yum, yum.

I loved the variety and Asian-coolness of the Taiwan 7-11s. And of course the promotions, where they gave all those cool collect-em-all sets away, particularly the Hello Kitty stuff.
Luo buo gao with egg! Hmph! Am jealous. Apparently I can get it in Joburg, and am going on a mission as soon as I get back from holiday to find it...yay!

What! You got Hello Kitty freebies from 7-11? You must have bought tons of stuff there to get them. The only free stuff I got were Doremon magnets. Those are cool too! The only countries I have are Italy, Taiwan, and U.S.

I got Hello Kitty freebies is the understatement of the century - I completed 2 HK curtains (with the Flower Nations promotion), plus I still have over 200 spares floating around. I have all the Doraemon magnets, including the limited edition Father's Day one and completed two basic sets of the World Tour magents. So yeah, I got a few freebies. And yeah I spent a bit of money at 7-11.
But I would like to say in my defense that a lot of the badges/magnets were given to me by friends who weren't collecting. My roommate in particular would go through a 300NT phone card every 2 or 3 days, and she gave ALL her stuff to lucky ol' me.

That song is the shit. Am loving it right now, which is strange for me as I don't usually like JT, but it's very catchy. [and this sentence rhymes WAAAAY too much].
Darlin', any comments from me about Paris Hilton are bound to be unpleasant, unflattering and full of expletives. I might like cheesy, but if Paris is cheese, I'm switching to stinky tofu!

Sal, it was wow to find you too. Guess you spotted me via Claireabelle, yes no?
I long for another cheesy Carnegie's night. It was so trashy, all those desperate people, but I'm a total Coyote Ugly barwhore and would do it again it a heartbeat!
Me'dear, I miss you too, what can I say. I'm sorry we didn't get to know each other better.
Happy festive seasonings...
