look naaase. actually if you are hunting for joburg prettyness, and are willing to go a little further...in light of your recent exploratorativeness(woah) ... you should check out the many hikes offered by the johannesburg hiking club(or mountain club) u can find their number in the book, and they will point you in the right direction... some reaally pretty landscapes unique to joburg(what) somewhat akin to the mountain sanctuary park (but with less people)but a little more strenuous. Also the cable car that goes up the magaliesberg behind the haartebeest poort dam is worth a visit ;P
Hmmmm, nice idea! I sent for a brochure from the city parks board (how 80s housewife of me) so will be working my way down that list too. Apparently the cable car is out of order after someone fell out of it or something! Gaaarrrr! But a Magalies trip is very much in order. I shall issue memos immediatmon.
Pish posh - it's luffly there. Even the Taiwanese wheelchair that you neglected to comment upon holds a quaint and dignified place in the corner with the rest of the wheelchairs...
and a great day was had by all...

Luffly pics dear. Pity bout the size of my ass in the first one :) we must definitely go on the hike thingy in magaliesberg. will leave hubby at home as he has fears of uncivilized snakes (as opposed to the civilized ones we didn't see at the gardens) :)
