I do read over these, but still haven't brought myself to tune into anything... I find your recommendations insightful, however, and at least have (yet again) looked up which channel TCM is on my cable listing.

And, oddly, I own a bad copy of White Zombie on DVD. It wasn't nearly as cool as I hoped it was; I suppose my too high (but not really very high) expectations hampered my enjoyment of it. It's on right now, and TCM's copy is barely any better than mine.

I'll be posting TCM updates through next month, because they've decided to schedule series of movies (such as the "Rusty the Dog" movies or the "Mexican Spitfire" comedies) during the daylight hours on weekdays. Naturally, I'll be paying attention to these disposable program-fillers and ignoring the many classics of the artform on display any given evening.

As for White Zombie, I doubt there are any "good" copies anywhere in the world. Independently produced over 70 years ago, it really only exists at all due to its public domain status (and the continuing fame of Bela Lugosi). Yeah, you have to forgive a lot to love it, but fans of old horror films are nothing if not forgiving:)
