TMNT one was all right. The rest... meh. The recent animated film was all right, too.

I'm curious about the Mr. Moto films, based on your reviews. Time to reactivate Netflix...

I'm enjoying the Motos quite a bit, even the shakier ones. Just watched Moto #6, which I'll probably review by this weekend, and really liked it. There are the usual iffy bits you get when "classic" Hollywood dealt with anyone who wasn't a WASP, but almost never in a mean-spirited way. Norman Foster, who directed six of the films, had actually spent a good deal of time in Asia, especially Bali and Fiji (which I know isn't really Asia, but I'll count it anyway), and apparently re-wrote the scripts of the films he worked on so they wouldn't be ridiculously unrealistic (just entertainingly unrealistic). Plus, it's just cool to see Peter Lorre's stunt double throwing people all over the place and leaping about. I'll probably end up buying the two DVD box sets.
