I've had this song on a mofo-ing loop ever since episode 7. Reminds me of Cook and Freds so much. I seriously hope Cook does that psychopath in. I can't even imagine what state Cook's going to be in when he finds out.
The song "It's A Wonderful Life" by Sparklehorse that was featured on Freddie's episode last season has been on repeat for quite a long time on my iTunes. For some reason, that particular song always reminds me of his character and it's depressing. I'm quite sadistic in that way, I think. Seeing the TV trailer for next Thursday just looks like utter sadness, particularly Cook falling to his knees at the end. :(
Just gave it a listen, and I think that song perfectly captures Freddie, dream-like, surreal, there's a hopefulness but it betrays itself with this undertone of fatalistic sadness. Very haunting.
Cook sinking to the ground and crying just about killed me. I really don't know what his character is going to do without Freddie, who's always been there to bail him out of trouble and chew him out when he's being an ass. :(
I agree. Chris' death seemed inevitable to me, although I was kind of shocked. Freddie's was so senseless and it really shouldn't have happened. I heard some spoilers early on about how he was in the end credits of the finale, but I didn't actually believe it.
The whole scene was so chilling to me. The way he whimpered and screamed; how the blood splattered against the glass was so horrifying.
I seriously don't know what the writers thought they'd achieve by going through with it. Shock value, more drama? How does it make sense in terms of plot? What's it supposed to do? I wasn't a passinate fan of Freddie's but no character deserves to go out like that. :(
And can we not have another male character on the show obsessed with Effy??? Really, it's getting ridiculous.
Oh my gosh, apologies for the late response! Feel free to save this and upload it to tumblr, as long as you credit my lj. Freddie wasn't my favourite either, but he was likeable!
