I'm probably the most boring person on the planet. I'm an Aries born in the year of the rabbit. I'm an INFJ and an enneagram type 9. I was sorted into Hufflepuff.
I have an associate's degree in applied science in the field of veterinary technology. I worked for almost two years as a veterinary nurse and realized it just wasn't my calling. Now I'm working on getting my bachelor's degree in biochemistry. I hope to one day work in a veterinary laboratory curing diseases and creating new vaccines. I still want to help animals just in a different way than what I initially thought.
I shy away from discussing religion and politics. I try not to let my beliefs determine how I treat other people. The short answer is I'm agnostic and a registered democrat, but I consider myself more of a moderate in both areas.
I have a small, but close family. I have two loving parents and one older brother named Tim. My pets are very important to me. I have a dog, a cat, and a hermit crab:
• Spartacus; My family adopted him in September 2012 from an animal rescue. We had gone to the pet store for cat food and left with a dog. He came with the name "Sparky" which is now his nickname. He's a 3 or 4 year old male dog. He's a mutt, but most likely a mix of Dachshund/Jack Russell Terrier/Chihuahua/Beagle and possibly some other breeds. He's very loving and energetic. He loves people, especially kids, but can be very territorial and protective. He's my first dog and I wouldn't trade him for the world. {Pictures:

• Khaleesi; I adopted her in April 2012 from the animal shelter. Her full name is Khaleesi Katniss. I got her as a companion for my elderly cat, Killer, after my two previous cats had passed away which left him alone. I chose her because she was the most miserable cat in the entire shelter and I thought her docile personality would go well with Killer's strong one. The more I got to know her, the more her true personality came out. She's a 3 year old female cat. She is a torbie with tabby like black stripes on her back, white patches on her chest, paws, and face, and brown spots. She's very sweet and can be timid. She's also bossy and a glutton for food. She's incredibly playful and loves to tease the dog. I always had multiple cats growing up, but she's currently my only cat. {Pictures:

• Mojo; I bought him from a pet store in December 2012. He's my third hermit crab and my only one currently. I named him Mojo after Mojo Jojo from The Powerpuff Girls because his original shell had Blossom painted on it. I chose him because he gave the sales associate an attitude when she picked him up. He's large and always on the move. He once climbed out of his crabitat and wandered around my room for a day before I found him. He loves to eat and his favorite treats are coconut flakes.

Quotes
"Life is funny, baby, and that's no joke" - Sugar Pie from Gingerbread by Rachel Cohn
"My life happens to, on occasion, suck beyond the telling of it. Sometimes more than I can handle. And it's not just mine. Every single person down there is ignoring your pain because they're too busy with their own. The beautiful ones. The popular ones. The guys that pick on you. Everyone. If you could hear what they were feeling. The loneliness. The confusion. It looks quiet down there. It's not. It's deafening." - Buffy the Vampire Slayer
"I've found that the way a person feels about cats--and the way they feel about him or her in return--is usually an excellent gauge by which to measure a person's character." - Neferet from the House of Night series by P.C. Cast & Kristin Cast
"THAT'S A LOT OF NUTS!" - Kung Pow: Enter the Fist
Dib: Sorry... I'm late... horrible nightmare visions!
Ms. Bitters: It's called life, Dib.
Dib: Gaz, I'm trapped in a frozen wasteland!
Gaz: Who isn't?
"'Man,' said the Ghost, 'if man you be in heart, not adamant, forebear that wicked cant until you have discovered what the surplus is, and where it is. Will you decide what man shall live, what man shall die? It may be that in the sight of Heaven you are more worthless and less fit to live than millions like this poor man's child. O God! to hear the insect on the leaf pronouncing on the too much life among his hungry brothers in the dust!'" - The Ghost of Christmas Present from A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens
"Haven't you worked it out yet? Humanity is about love, and sacrifice. This doesn't rob me of my humanity... it proves it." - George on being a werewolf from Being Human
"Often it was the most unlikely of people who found within themselves a spark of something greater. It was probably always there, but most people are never tested, and they go through their whole lives without ever knowing that when things are at their worst, they are at their best." - Tom Imura from Rot & Ruin by Jonathan Maberry
"It was wrong to murder even before Moses brought down the commandments. Right and wrong don’t come from God. It’s inside us. And we know it. And even if God appears right in front of us, and tells us to our faces to murder, it’s still wrong." - Astrid Ellison from Plague (Gone series #4) by Michael Grant
