Wow I'm impressed that you were able to get them to hold the pumpkin! I feel like every time I try to get my Ellowynes to hold something their arms instantly flop. Those pumpkins are really cool too! I've never seen them before but I'll be sure to check AC Moore next time I'm around one. I feel like my AC Moore has only been stocking items from previous years, I haven't really seen much new there this year.
It's probably because his nose is a key, but it almost feels like the pumpkin himself is a key to something. Maybe he's the key to a steampunk dimension or something similar and Theodora and Dorothea are both grabbing hold of the pumpkin in order to gain entrance into the secret dimension.
Thankfully these pumpkins don't really weigh a lot, and I think the fact that there were two dolls helped! I've definitely dealt with the "floppy arm" issue before myself but in this case it was more so that the pumpkin just didn't want to balance and kept falling forward.
That's a shame about your AC Moore, though. Mine seemed to get a ton of new stuff in this year, in all different styles. There was some stuff that seemed familiar but they had a full aisle of gothic style decor, which is something I'd never seen them do before. I still wish they'd done more of those small little standing greeters, though.
