What makes Magic Sand Magical?

Does anyone remember Magic Sand? It was a big thing in the 80's. You could get blue, red or yellow Magic Sand and it used to come in a bottle that resembled that of a genies bottle ( Read more... )

It was both! You could make shapes in water... castles and stuff, and then scoop out the sand and it would be dry!

Lol, I had some this past summer!

Ahh too cool! Thank you so much! I loved Magic Sand but they don't sell it over here anymore - well not as far as I know anyway. I can't believe the colours in the link that you sent me! When I was a kid they only had red, blue and yellow magic sand! I'm going to have to go hunting around here and see if I can find some or at least maybe order some online.

Now all I've got to do is tell Duncan that we were both right - you don't know how much of me wants to tell him that I was right but I'll do the correct thing and tell him we both hit the nail on the head :)

Ahh Mrs J that was heaps interesting! Now I can go home and tell Duncan we were both right but I can now come across smarter than him and tell him how Magic Sand actually works! You'll be able to hear me gloating from there! :)
