“hi, officer.” the criminal raised his hands to wave at taecyeon, “i thought you were kidding when you told me you would see me again.”
“i wasn’t kidding, junsu.” taecyeon chuckled, “why do you seen so easy? you’re a criminal with dozens years prison, you know?”
junsu just shrugged.
“okay, back to the topic, junsu.” taecyeon sighed. he put the papers on the table and pushed it toward junsu.
junsu looked the papers and opened one by one and stopped on junho’s photo.
“you know this boy, right?” taecyeon pointed the photo, “he’s just got sentenced to life since he did a first grade murder. is he one of your little group’s members? underground?”
“it’s not a little group, officer.” junsu chuckled, “and yes, he is.”
“i see…what is he? do you know something about him? we’ve tried to dig his reason up, but he kept telling us that he killed that pregnant woman because she was a slut and he didn’t like it. i’m sure it’s a lie.”
“pregnant woman? three bullets, am i right?”
“yes, you are…wait! i didn’t tell you that!”
junsu just chuckled and smirked.
“how did you know that?!” junsu slammed the table with his hands, “how did you?!”
junsu climbed the table and jumped over taecyeon’s tall body, hitching the handcuffs’ chain around taecyeon’s neck. so fast until taecyeon couldn’t see the movement. wooyoung and nichkhun, who were standing behind the one way mirror, hurriedly got into the interrogation room, pointing their guns.
“release him!” nichkhun shouted. the cops were running down the hallway and in a second they were pointing their guns toward the criminal.
taecyeon could hear junsu chuckling behind him, “look, they weren’t fast enough to save you.”
“what do you want?” taecyeon asked.
taecyeon could feel junsu’s tongue running down his neck, “i don’t want anything, taecyeon. i just want to show you that i could escape if i wanted. but, now is not the right time. maximum security? for me, it’s just a mosquitoes’ trap.”
then, junsu unhitched the chain from taecyeon’s neck. the cops hurriedly slammed the criminal on the table, catching him. but, taecyeon was standing still, watching how junsu was being carried, but the smirk was staying still on the criminal’s handsome face.
‘see you, officer.’ taecyeon read the sentence on junsu’s lips.
“are you okay?” nichkhun asked to taecyeon, “you look blank.”
“i’m okay.” taecyeon replied, “i’m thinking about something, don’t worry.”
“okay.”
“by the way, can i talk to junho?”
“i’ll proceed to the prison guard.” wooyoung offered.
it wasn’t that long until lee junho was inside the interrogation room.
“i’m sure i’ve told you everything.” junho said immediately when taecyeon was walking in.
“i know. but i haven’t asked you something.” taecyeon stopped for a while and put junsu’s photo on the table, “i know you know this guy.”
“i don’t know…” junho answered with a shaking tone.
“you know. this guys knows you too. now, be honest or we’ll add more verdicts.”
“okay!” junho sighed, “this guy is kim junsu. i guess you’ve known it!”
“and what is ‘underground’?”
junho looked up to taecyeon and gulped, “underground…how did you know that? junsu told you?”
“yes. but, he didn’t tell me what it was. so, it’s your task.”
“okay…underground is a place where the criminals are gathering. not only an anchovy criminal like me. but, also the criminal you never know. once you get there, you won’t come out easily. because, they serve you nice treatment, dirty money, whatever you want. let’s say, it’s a little piece of heaven…”
“are there hundreds of them?”
junho shook, “it’s more that you imagine, officer. you never know. maybe even one of your friends is the one of underground’s parts.”
then, junho looked the one way mirror in the room. taecyeon knew junho meant one of them in the room, wooyoung or nichkhun. taecyeon looked at the boy disbelievingly.
“okay, junho.” taecyeon finally said, “i think it’s enough for now. you’ll be carried to your cell again.”
junho obeyed taecyeon and got out from the interrogation room with a cop.
it’s more that you imagine, officer. you never know. maybe even one of your friends is the one of underground’s parts.
junho’s words were flying on taecyeon’s mind. they never left.
“one of my friends…?” taecyeon looked at the two men in the other room who were laughing at something on the screen, “no, impossible. junho never knew who were in the guard room at that time. he just threatened me.”

“how was the interrogation, kiddo?”
junho looked up and saw his friend leaning on his table. junho smirked and shrugged, “i think. he got fooled by my acting.”
junsu sighed and filled the empty chair in front of junho, “why did you have to act? why didn’t you just reveal what you’re like to him like what i did?”
“naaah, it made it more interesting, hyung.” junho chuckled, “oh, and i’ve told taecyeon that our people are around him. i told him that one his friends might be one of us.”
“really?! why did you do that?! you couldn’t have revealed our people!”
“relax, hyung.” junho pouted, “i didn’t say who it was, i just told him hanging and he didn’t ask me.”
junsu sighed in relief, “i thought you’d done it. if taecyeon knew there was mr. t beside him, and then the change we could get out of here was zero, you know?”
“i know. but, hyung, why don’t we get out by ourselves? i think we can do it.”
“no,” junsu shook his head, “we have to wait our friend first.”
“mr. t?”
“no, stupid.” junsu smacked junho’s head, “it’s no way mr. t will be here. he is a cop, okay? we’re waiting for that dealer. so, we can go out of here safely. i don’t feel like having gun war with those cops.”
“yeah, whatever, hyung.”

“this is difficult.” wooyoung sighed, “i know that those men are in the same side, same organization or cult or whatever. but, i can’t find the pattern they worked together.”
“whatever underground is, i think this is a big community.” taecyeon replied, “i have a bad feeling of this.”
“taecyeon, what would you do now if you knew their area?” nichkun asked.
“maybe i would sneak out into their place and would dig all i can.” taecyeon answered, “but, it’s impossible. i don’t even know what kind of organization this is.”
“yeah…you’re right.”
rrrring~!
taecyeon picked the phone, “hello, ok taecyeon here.”
wooyoung and nichkhun sighed at the same time when taecyeon was talking on the phone.
“this case is like…i can’t describe it. this is difficult.”
“yup.” nichkhun nodded, “i wish we could clear this up quickly. i’m kinda confused now.”
“guys,” taecyeon sighed after hanging his phone, “we got another case.”

“holy fuck…” wooyoung covered his mouth with his hand and ran away toward the bushes to throw up.
nichkhun cringed and made a face, “this is…”
taecyeon put on his masker and frowned, “this is psychotic murder.”
they had just come to the crime scene and found a corpse there. it was a girl without hair. her right hand was missing. the smell was enough to kill a full room of rats. the blood dried around her mouth, mixed with yellowish liquid.
“let’s bring this body to the lab.” taecyeon commanded. the forensic officers put the corpse into the bag and brought it by the truck.
“you’re going to have a long night with that body, nichkhun.”
“shut up, taecyeon. thinking about it is enough to make me puke.” nichkhun hailed and kept taking pictures of the crime scene.
taecyeon looked around and found nothing. someone found the dead body because its smell and reported it to police department. from what the witnesses said, they were passing the road and there were the hill. they pulled over to check their engine and smelled something stinky.
the crime scene was just a dry hill full of sand. the body was found after digging the sand. there was no evidence, there was no track, and there was no sign of the killer. maybe the wind had blown the shoeprints since it was just sand around them.
“the killer surely knows how our work is…” taecyeon mumbled. he looked around and found a house down the hill. he jumped down and approached the house. he knocked the house but got no answer.
he circled the house and saw a broken glasshouse behind the house.
“this is weird…” taecyeon sighed. he pulled out his gun and approached the glasshouse, “excuse me?”
still no answer.
he kicked some woods and got into the glasshouse. the box was put down in the middle of it with the cover hanging open. taecyeon approached it and lightened the box with the lighter and found a pair of handcuffs along something seemed a right hand.
“it seems i’ve just found the missing part of the body.”
***
“here.” taecyeon threw nichkhun a plastic bag he brought.
“what the fuck!” nichkhun raised the bag in front of his eyes, “you found the right hands!”
“yup, in a box inside a broken glasshouse not far from the scene along with these.” taecyeon threw again a plastic bag of handcuffs.
“you didn’t tell me.” nichkhun frowned, “did you take the pictures?”
“not me, another forensic did. you seemed busy with the hill so i called the other officer, sorry.”
“naah, never mind.” nichkhun shrugged.
“is there any development?”
“i got something shocking.”
“what is it?” taecyeon asked.
“promise me you won’t throw up like wooyoung did.” nichkhun sighed, “one of this girl’s eyes isn’t hers. firstly, i thought it was dry since it had been a long time buried, but i was wrong. i checked the other one and i got different dna. the right eye is still connected to the body. but the left one isn’t.”
“what do you mean?”
nichkun pulled both eyeballs from the socket and taecyeon yelled.
“what the fuck are you doing?!”
“showing you! and don’t puke!” nichkhun warned, “look. the right one still has connection to the brain. but, the left one is separated. the dryness is also different. the left one is like…dried plum.”
“don’t compare it with plum, stupid!” taecyeon cringed.
“i’m not done!” nichkhun warned, “now put on a masker to your face like what is on my face, it’s on the second door of cabinet.”
“why should i?”
“i need you still conscious to tell you, don’t i? now do it.”
taecyeon put on a masker and nodded, “done.”
“i warn you once again, don’t puke and stay awake, okay?” nichkhun said. he opened the slice on the girl’s chest and showed taecyeon the organs.
“look.” nichkhun brought out something from the body.
“what are you doing?!” taecyeon nearly screamed, “it’s…nauseating…”
“shut up and look at this.” nichkhun put the unknown organ on a metal tray, “can you guess what it is? use your knowledge when you were high schooler.”
“i…can’t…i never saw an organ like that…” taecyeon narrowed his eyes, “and don’t call me ‘stupid’, maybe i missed it on my lesson.”
“no,” nichkhun shook his head, “you can’t recognize it like this. but, if you use the microscope and analyze the part of this organ, you’ll know this as a liver.”
“isn’t a liver bigger than that thing?”
“exactly,” nichkhun nodded, “there was something made this liver dry and subsided. i guess it kind of chemical…”
“yuck…” taecyeon made a face.
“guys, i’ve found the identity of this poor girl.” wooyoung stormed in, “and what the fuck are you doing?!”
wooyoung pointed the liver in nichkhun’s hand.
“don’t faint!” nichkhun hurriedly put the liver back into the girl’s body, “okay, tell us about the identity.”
“can we talk about that outside…?” wooyoung asked, eyeing the body like it could get up and attack him.
“okay.” nichkhun answered.
“this is kind of…surprising…”
“why? whose body is it?” taecyeon frowned, throwing the masker away.
“do you still remember the pregnant lady case? do you remember the witnesses?”
taecyeon and nichkhun widened their eyes, “no way…”
wooyoung nodded, “yep, that’s eugene’s body…”
