I am sick and tired of the open id errors. I just can't seem to leave comments through my LJ username on blogger blogs now. Not only that but my comments vanish into nowhere. It happened a few months back too. and then I had stopped using open id for about a month or so. Does anybody know, what's wrong?

Yeah, that's what I do now. Use the blogger profile to point people onto LJ.

Posting on LJ thru open id has never been an issue though.

Yeah, LJ might have invented the Open ID. But unfortunately, Google is mighty and likes throwing its weight around.

According to what I last heard, Blogger is deliberately messing around with LJ's OpenID's. It works some of the time though, and I have'nt had any issues with other sites. Just blogger.

(as an aside: Strangely enough, it appears to work fine in other google spheres)

(Edit: Seems it's a cookie issue. Try breaking all authenticated sessions from your LJ and Google accounts pages followed by clearing your browser cache. Post that, log in to LJ as usual, then try posting via your OpenID. Seems to be working for me now.)

Exactly, only trouble is with blogger. This is too much toil, clearing cache everytime.

I feel you. It's an icky thing, but for now, I suppose I won't have much trouble living with it. I usually don't comment on blogger posts. It's some kind of a warped LJ loyalty kahaani. :)

Oh well....it's tough to tie me down within boundaries, LJ or blogger or wordpress...I go everywhere. ;)

My blog's layout? Neah, I have been facing this issue since sumtime now, irrespective whichever layout I am using. :(

Well, so did they for me too, but then again the google-LJ war ate up a giant comment of mine while posting it on a friend's blog. I really lost it after that. :P
