I'm all "tu, teri" with guys but "tum, tumhari" with girls. But the girls are all "tu, teri" themselves with everyone including me, and the guys are all "tu, teri" with the girls which makes me all confused and makes me think if I am doing something wrong :(

A lot of girls are fine with "Tu" but I think it mostly comes from home. My parents address me as "Tum" , so do my grandparents and hence, I never got used to being addressed as "Tu".

It's irritating when I address the guy as "Tum" and he keeps on ranting in "Tu" terms.

I use "tu" to address some of fast friends (girls) once in a while.

Hehehehehehe! waise I totally agree with you on tu and tum part. I hate even when other people address each other with tu.
Although I should say I do use teri sometimes in some of the most ardently used punjabi phrases. The one immortalised by Aamir khan in RDB. :-P
