while you don't believe this most days, you have a drive and focus that i envy on an almost daily basis. also, you are one of the few (if not the only) of my bestbestfriends who has never gotten too overwhelmed (with me/ you/ everything) to be my friend, so! even if we are sometimes catty ladies, i know that in the end you got my back and you know that i got yours! and that is one of the most comforting and stable things in my life. and i love you.

you are the gutsiest person i know. i'm also always really impressed with the way you engage people in conversations about autism, you've successfully turned your cross into a soapbox (both of those terms are negative but seem appropriate and i think you know what i mean) and it's really impressive. also, i'm pretty sure i wouldn't be as good of a performer without your influence, which is less of a compliment and more of just a comment.

emma, i think you're cool. and while cool is a passing, if not diminutive, word. being cool is still pretty important, to me at least. i also think you're a stone cold fox and that you are the kind of woman i would conceivably be friends with. i have actually a lot of surprisingly complicated feelings and ideas about you, which might be weird but... well, i hope that was complimentary enough.

i wish i had sung harmonies for your ep as well. i'm incredibly jealous of the manner in which you can express yourself on the internet. this seems fleeting (or even insulting!) except that that skill is actually useful in life. i am not capable of writing a paper (well or in a focused way) and you are so adept at, for lack of a better term, essay writing, that it kills me to read it sometimes.

you are one of the most caring people i have ever met. you are fiercely loyal to the people you love. i can't imagine having gone through the difficulties that you have had to and remained as caring and strong as you have.
