Red remembered everything.
He told Marie he didn't and he tried to pretend that everything was fine. A good trainer doesn't make his Pokemon worry about (or scared of) him, right? Right.
For ten days, he was scum. It was like he was trapped in his own head, but the other him was everything he hated. ... No, it was worse than that -- there wasn't anything he could do to stop himself. He killed people. He killed Pokemon and he let his own do the same thing. He encouraged it.
He let Bulba kill Green without lifting a finger to stop him. That wasn't Red. It wasn't Bulba, it wasn't Marie, it wasn't Sasha or Vinnie or Green or anybody, it was just a long-overdue nightmare from getting all worked up over Team Rocket a long time ago.
... At least, that's what Red tried to tell himself for a couple of days. If anything, he owed Lyra big-time for beating the other him and getting rid of the other Team Rocket. Even if Giovannni was her dad and it made him want to throw up.
He thought he was barely capable of hurting anybody's feelings, let alone anything that the other him did. There was blood on his hands. Even if everyone was fine now -- even if the people he let die weren't dead, even if Team Rocket was long gone...
He couldn't deal with it. Red was terrified of himself. He wanted to just pack up and leave and camp out on Mt. Silver again, far away from other people. What he really needed to do was make sure he was still himself. He'd take being a dumb wimpy kid over a bloodthirsty monster any day.
Wallowing in his own self-loathing could wait, though. Sasha was gone without a trace and that was scary enough to take his mind off of his own problems.

Did it snow a couple of days ago, or was that just my imagination?

[After Sahsa's disappearance Red contacted the rest of his team any way he could. Maybe he left an e-mail, maybe he called, maybe he just came over and knocked. But he was going to tell every single one of them the same thing:]
Sasha's gone. Did you see her?
---
[dude you're not seeing it unless you're Lyra or you're breaking into her room.]
Lyra,
You might not remember anything about last week. A lot of people don't. If you do or not doesn't really matter, I just wanted to say 'thank you'.
