I can understand going their route and not yours, 'cause sometimes people would rather go the way they're more comfortable with. But it would've been nice to tell you that, tell you what time to expect them (and then update you if they ran late).

Basically I'm always annoyed when I get people's hopes up (S) or have them change plans (M) for nothing and needed to vent.

Oh, and my Dad was surprised & disappointed that S was asleep when they got here. We gave him the Seth Myers/Amy Poehler "Really?" look for that. :)
