I was thinking about your post last night and had some thoughts on your arm. If it is nerve pain some of the fibro meds would help...Gabapentin (Neurontin) is good for nerve pain, generic, cheap and pretty good in the side effects department. It is an anti convulsant so it is safe for long term use and won't make you woozey or tired. It's what they had John on for phantom limb pain at one point. Lyrica also is for nerve pain but it is mostly used for fibro, isn't generic and is expensive.

Neurontin has done zero. Absolutely nothing. Tried it for months twice. (So obviously your suggestion makes sense!) Ibuprofen does a miniscule amount but given what I know long-term used of ibuprofen can do, it's not a long term solution. I'll look into what Lyrica works on and if it's used for things other than fibro. (The problem I run into, which is why I've tried 2 separate runs of gabapentin, is that the doctors were lazy & didn't listen that it's not fibro, even though it is presenting as a pain condition... but it's a "there are bones not in place, sensitivity specific to the entire length of the ulnar nerve and rock hard forearm muscles." condition.)

Today had an allergy test for common food culprits of gut pain... and I didn't have a reaction. I didn't even have a reaction to the histamine... which is used kind of as a control. The good news: no need for me to do the worst elimination diets! (wheat, rice, dairy, green beans,, eggs) So yay for a tiny victory.
