[Euphrosyne looks, spying Gideon. Despite Vinnie, ghost-types did not bother her... too much. This one did not seem to mean any harm, as far as she knew, and that was what really mattered most to her.

It was hard for her to really feel anything.

Her projection is low, a dull sadness as gray as the skies outside. She is mourning.]

I can understand your pain. Its not hard to sense the gloom around the school as well. She will be missed, but I guess she meant something more to you... After all, you where more of less the other half in her species division.

I sensed it but it wasnt clear. I know I can have some sort of control about the afterlife, but we have to admit that sometimes... Life is about living without guilt, not regrets.

I can see that on your eyes.

[The Espeon huffs, among the few audible sounds she makes. She shakes her head ( ... )

[Look who else is in the halls, perched atop his usual drink machine. He lifts his head at Euphie's approach. Although his eyes remain firmly closed, there's no doubt that he's watching her, regret latching heavily onto the edges of his mind.]

[Euphrosyne, amazingly, was able to pick that up.

The Espeon still almost crosses the other Pokemon, on her way, before pausing. There is something about that regret, an emotion with a certain stench bleeding against her precognition.

Her own eyes narrow.

A connection? Her body is suggesting such. She is soon facing Uxie.

Something... did not seem right.]

You know?

[It's more statement than question. Anyone could see the grief weighing down on Euphie. Of course she's aware of Blacky's fate, but one must tiptoe around such painful things, of course.]

[A projection of a road, and how much her feet ached as she walked along it, gravity pulling harder and harder against her when she smelled her blood.

She knew indeed.]

[Nephenee walked the halls by herself that night, bundled in her jacket to ward off the cold. She'd gone and visited a friend tonight, and now she had headed to grab a snack from the cafeteria before heading back to her room. Grabbing a bag of fruit and some candy for Cream and Cheese, she continued on her way to the dorms, when she spotted a strange purple cat roaming around...but something was wrong. Its ears were low, tail hanging down... she frowned, walking to the Espeon]

Um...you okay, lil fella?

[Euphrosyne does not recognize this newcomer. She is a wild animal, and she jolts away at this stranger. In her depression, her precognition is not at its sharpest, so sensing intention is slightly difficult.

Her tail sways defensively, her ears erect, before this human registers. She does not... seem like a threat. She seems more interested in the crux of her suffering.

Her body falls back into that slump, but she is now approachable, although still quite cautious.]

[Nephenee smiled, slowly walking over to her, hand carefully outstretching for Euphie to sniff.]

It's okay, I ain't gonna hurt ya.

[And sniffed she did, although much of her sniffing had already taken place on a mental level.

Euphrosyne's little black nose cataloged another scent.

Her defense positioning mostly had left her, although she could very easily snap back into it if she felt the need to.]

[Red started to worry when he didn't spot Euphie wandering around that morning. After what had happened last month, he'd been trying his hardest to keep tabs on all of his Pokemon.

It was apparently harder than he thought to keep track of an Espeon sometimes.

He looked around outside for her and when he inevitably came up short, waited outside for any sign of her. (It was maybe a little cold out there.) By the time she came back Red was covered in a nice layer of snow he could tell something was up, but it was way more important to get her out of the cold before he started with the 20 questions. So, like a ~true gentleman,~ he held the door open for her.

Except he was less a gentleman and more seriously worried about her.]

[Fortunately, there was less of a destructive potential when an Espeon is enraged. Physically. Mentally was another matter, but Euphrosyne is generally very aversive to those sorts of drastic things, or so she has tried to be.

(Sometimes, she came very close. The man that hurt her friends scared her very much.)

The Espeon came back, eventually, after whatever rounds she could make in tracking the disappearing odors of her sister departed. She shook lingering frost from herself, the damp hair ill-suited for the cold shining in the light. She shivered.

Then, she buried herself into Red, the pokemon equivalent of sobbing.]

[Red picked her up and frowned. What happened to her that made her run outside all day...?]

What's the matter...?

[Her cold body pressed desperately up against Red, beautiful, wonderful Red's shape and his wonderful, beautiful body heat. She was shuddering and heaving, her shared emotional link bleeding every warbling note of misery.]

[This strange purple cat was looking very sad.

Waddle Dee roamed the halls with his parasol clutched tightly in his paws. He glanced to and fro, looking to see if anyone else was around who owned this kitty, but no dice. All he could see was this tiny purple cat.

He slowly approached behind Euphie, markedly curious.] Um... hi. Are you okay?

[Well, maybe Euphrosyne was tiny to a Waddle Dee. She weighed eight times over from a mundane housecat and was approaching the size of a dog. Winter did very little to stimulate her coat growth when many other mammals thickened their fur up.

What intrigued her, briefly, was that this was not a human. She snuffled at this new creature, her tail curling around her and hanging defensively.

Then, she relaxed and hung her head.

No she was not okay. She was mourning.]

[Okay, then maybe not so tiny when Waddle Dee is only about 7 inches. Regardless, though, purple kitty. He must help purple kitty. He felt a strange obligation, characteristic of him. That need to help.

Euphie's response told him basically that she didn't seem okay. Of course, it was hard for him to understand the why and the how, so he was about to question what was wrong. Maybe knowing the details would help him to ease her pain?]

Really? Um, I'm sorry...

What's wrong? I mean, what happened? To make you sad.

[Euphrosyne's breath came out in tiny puffs in the cold. Waddle Dee's minute size was lingering on the spectrum of larger prey for the Espeon's tastes, but she could feel a creature with an affiliation with the Academy. She knew better than to hurt anything of the Academy, no matter how appealing to her tastes they might have been.

She drew her ears back, her projection hesitating. It was the color of sorrow and lost with undertones of death.]
