Weird but kind of creepy cool! Perhaps it is a glimpse of the aftermath of the end times. ;)

So, what do you think the creatures were? Do you think they arose from the technology and then came to control the people, or looked like it for camoflage purposes?

my impression was that they were created by people and disguised as discard tech to save the future generations from how in over their heads the creators were. It's odd, because it was supporting a lot of things I think are important: population reduction, waste reduction, a lot of the work we were doing was directly reclaiming land from human manipulation and making it habitable for wildlife; but the top-down freaky mind control was unacceptable to me. Another interesting point was my impression that the critters controlled us with some sort of drugs or digestibles, and left direct brain control alone.

Moral dilemma! Is it okay to brainwash people for their own good? Should people be allowed to make their own decisions, even if their decisions are dumb? What a great dream! ^_^
