Maybe you could use a technique I've seen artists do who do commissions. Tell them they get a certain number of revisions (like 2 or 3 tops) and more than that will cost you. OR, that you need a down payment before you begin working on any custom artwork. Then if they come in to talk to you while you're working on someone else, tell them that you can't. Set your boundaries with those fuckers!
