I keep wondering why CA is hitting me harder than when it was my own state doing this bigoted bullshit, but I guess it's because I thought there was an actual chance in California for people to do the right thing. It hurts to be proved wrong like that. :(

On the bright side, Obama supports civil unions and repealing the Defense of Marriage Act which is something at any rate. Plus, first openly pro-choice president is nothing to sneeze at either. :)

Ayup. And now it's just a waiting game to see what exactly his first act will be. Perhaps he'll even go on to condemn some of these things and start fixing this breach between church and state.
