My Back to the Future
All this year, a shadow has been looming menacingly over my shoulders. Inching closer with each passing day, I have become increasingly aware of its presence, and it is entirely unwanted. Despite my denial of it, my sheer avoidance of it, I know it is coming ( Read more... )

Just be glad there aren't dot coms willing to suck you into it for ungodly amounts of money and then SPIT YOU RIGHT BACK OUT a year later.

Cuz, that sucked.

Also I left you an IM while you were away. Let me know if you got it.

Frankly, a one-year stint during which I make ungodly amounts of money doesn't sound so bad.

I just have to find several stints in a row.

I'm still away; I'll be home around 4:30 I suspect. I'm sure if you left it to my away message, it will be there.

Yeah the problem was that all the other stints vanished ... at once.

Temping gave me a brand new disgust for big corporate culture.

I just assume that once I hit 25, someone will give me a large lump sum of money and have me finish out the rest of my life on some tropical island, learning languages and writing journals in the utmost luxury.

i have made my way into the five year plan at Mount Saint Mary College, and let me tell you, it's not the best plan of action to "stay in college as long as possible." i find myself very antsy, and have a strong desire to get on with myself.

but this is all ok. i'll be out in LA by next year, and having that as a plan makes me a happy kid.

See, everyone's plan is to get out of college so they can move to LA and get on with life.

I already live in LA! Now what do I do?

wait for me so we can do absolutely nothing.

i hate the fact that i'm becoming a cliche, but hell, it beats going back to staten island.

Hey, everyone is someone in LA.

And I doubt I will be going anywhere. I imagine the only two places I'll ever call home will be here, and Hell.

And in both I hope to have a cute little penthouse.

By the way, who bought me the two months of paid-accountage?

Thanks.
