It’s All Relative
Michigan was lovely - is lovely, in fact, and becomes increasingly more so the further one drives outward from Detroit. My destination was in an autumnal paradise - the orange and pale yellow-tinged leaves, like bits of old paper, reflected the delicate silvery light of the morning and shivered in the crisp air ( Read more... )

Also I didn't know any of the prayer-response bits, so when the cleric or whatever they're called would say something and the entire audience would respond, that was awkward.

And, I sent a text message during the ceremony. Is that a sin?

Again you never cease to amaze me with your words...

This time you visit my home state! Where in MI?

Oh how I miss the fall in MI, but dammit I love it here in San Francisco!

I was in... let's see, Birmingham, Orchard Lake, and Bloomfield Hills.

I have no real idea what the differences are between them all, but those are the names I heard.

It definitely is NOT in Michigan.

When I'm an old broad, I want to find you to write my life story. You'd make it so unbelievably interesting. Your voice is fabulous. I appreciate it wholly.

I'll have to write other people's life stories, I can only make trips to the gym interesting to read for so long.

you are udderly correct about detroit. I sent a week there a few years back. that city had thehighest mullet per capita I've ever seen (yes, I've been to the south), the highest average BMI I've ever seen (yes, I've been to chicago and dallas), and the worst teeth I've ever seen (yes, I've been to scotland and england).

in the entire week I was there, I saw literally ZERO attractive people of either gender. glad you madeit unscathed and still in the MI closet

Yeah, since when did mullets come back into style?

By the way, I hope you're healing well, but at least in the meantime you look like Cap'n Jack Sparrow lounging around on the hospital bed in those fantastic silk pants.
