They look like New Rocks to me, but I'm no boot expert. Are you sure you don't want the coat instead?

Second on the New Rock sentiment, though they could be knockoffs. If it's just the basic style you care about - shinguard, cross-lacing, overall cut - you can either get a bona fide pair or a cheap copy from Demonia or someone.

If it's the particular skull detail you want, I have no idea whether that's genuine NR or someone else.

I have never owned a pair of New Rocks, but only because they're not really my style. I know lots of folks who love them, and they hold up like nobody's business. Seriously, people take these things to Burning Man year after year and they survive.

Yeah, that definitely occurred to me, but I figured that they aren't religious about sticking that logo on everything.

And I prefer to think of that thing as a... Cylon.

I'm 97% sure i saw those exact boots at Trash & Vaudeville last time i was down on st marks. Mind you it was awhile ago. Maybe call and describe and see what they think?

I can picture their rage at my call, "I''m looking for these boots. I saw a picture of a celrity wearing them. They're black, with laces up the side and some sort of logo."

I love how everyone's take on the logo reveals more about that person than it does about the boots.
