I never thought I would even think of leaving Texas, but now, well, how does New York sound? I would have to land a killer job; the cheapest apartment I've found in the city is a studio apartment for $785. Maybe I'll just win the lottery. Of course, this move wouldn't happen for some time, it would have to take place over something like 6 months ( Read more... )

I lived in Manhattan for 4 years. I lived in Greenwich Village, in some projects on the East Side, and at Union Square.

I would move back in a second if I could.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask. I always love to talk about New York :)

**NYC is considerably less cold than Chicago, and there's more to do (in my opinion...but I am a little biased)

Of course I remember you!

Sheri: "Yeah, aren't you dating one of the bartenders at Logans?"

hahahaha, that night was priceless, I thought you were a cool girl from the get-go. :)

What are you up to these days? I'm getting together a group for a show at the downtown Drafthouse Friday night if you are interested. :)

I didn't even consider the company helping me to relocate; I want to assume full responsibility for that. I doubt I will have companies "wanting me", I will be the one wanting them to hire me, therefore, it will be my responsibility to move appropriately.

What I have in Austin is wonderful; I can't deny that. But I do know that since it is so wonderful, and my friends and family are so wonderful, that the ties I have with them will not be broken if I move away. Someone will have to look into sending me Chuy's queso, though.

Btw, I somewhat remind you of Carrie Bradshaw on SATC? That is so badass, haha.

I'm all for moving. That's what got me here in the first place :).

Just do it for the right reasons. The first time I moved away from home it was because I was running away from things and thought it would be easier to start fresh somewhere else.

I always think of that Dexter Freebish song, "Leaving Town", when I think about moving:

Nothing in life will ever come that easy.
Doesn't mean it has to be that hard.
I know you will find out who you are
But when your broke and down and no one else is arouond.
You'll come running back to this town and
I'll be there, yeah I'll be there.

But like I said if you're doing it for the right reasons then it's a great thing to "discover" a new city.

Good Luck!

omg, i used to love that song! a couple years ago i found it recorded on a tape (old school I know) but I didn't know who it was and was so sad!

I think you should do whatever makes you happy, and gives you the most opportunities to pursue life you want to lead

I do have to say if you move you will be GREATLY missed though
