I'm done with all my work at MSU, so I'm back home now. I miss EL/Okemos life already! I've been doing a long-term sub job with middle school band students in Southfield though, so that definitely keeps me busy. I graduated from MSU this semester--crazy!  All my life, I've always known exactly what I'll be doing the next year--more school.  Now, for the first time, I don't know!  I've applied for the four jobs that I'm aware are actually open in the entire state of Michigan as far as music teaching is concerned, but the market just really isn't great.  ( Read more... )

So, student teaching is rocking my world. Mark's baby came, so he left Monday afternoon. Summer is officially over! I've been doing student teaching stuff at Okemos since last Thursday, so the semester has definitely started already. 182 kids in the high school band alone--awesome!
