Family. It's the only thing that can save you from family.

Alright, so I have just come upon a possibly life-changing opportunity; but first, I should bring you up to speed.

I'm 23 years old and still living with my family. We've been living in my childhood home in WV since we had to move back from MD (where I had been working and going to college) in August '07 in order to take care of my aunt, who was eventually diagnosed with metastatic brain cancer. Since she died in June '08, I've enrolled and withdrawn from online college and have attempted to find employment--which is nearly impossible for the stupid fact that I can't drive and live in the sticks.

Today, I got a call from another aunt who informed me that my cousin's (Keira, also 23) roommate is moving out soon, which would mean that she would be stuck with paying the $600 rent by herself if she doesn't find someone else. We've always gotten along well, though have never been particularly close. She works at this place called ACS, which is kind of like tech support for different companies (Sprint and Blue Cross Blue Shield among others). They're constantly hiring because honestly no one wants to work there, for obvious reasons. It does however pay well and includes benefits, so there is at least some incentive.

Anyway, so hopefully if I move in with her and ACS hires me, I'll be able to pay off my loans and such, figure out exactly what I want to do with my life, and at least start somewhere. Nothing's going to come of staying here, though now that I've talked to her I'm not exactly sure if she wants me to move in, or if she is just going on with her mother's suggestion. Guess I should have brought that up at the beginning. Ugh, fuck me for being so fucking self-centered *smashes head on piano quite dramatically*

It's probably fine with her, I just always assume I'm hated. Anyway--wow! The first post in over a year! Holy shitcicles.

keira, nanny, ch-ch-ch-changes, the cave, the most vile substance, pack all your troubles
