Few and Far Between...

Went to a memorial for my great-grandmother yesterday. She would have been 102 on Valentine's Day. Can you imagine living to see 102 years of changes in our society? I have only seen 24, 20 of which I can remember, and I already don't like what I see. Society is in shambles right now...and who is going to save it, we don't know

lol about the cat. anyway, i was thinking about our society being in shambles recently and wondered about it. the truth is, i believe we have expected too much from ourselves. we felt guilty if we didn't have the million dollar four bedroom homes, the gourmet food and the mercedes - all of us! who the fuck are we kidding and what kind of expectations are those? i think society has put a lot of pressure on itself to always do better than the previous generation. but do we produce that much more? maybe almost... but not quite. personally i think this country's greatest time of achievement was in the 50's and look how we lived then - in little 800 square foot little boxes that all looked the same. i almost feel sorry for them. and that's my rant! :)
