So over the past month or two I keep making a detour into the art department at school and I haven't been especially sure why. Most of the art I see there is horrifically boring and uncreative but I keep going back anyway. *cough* I believe there's at least one animated cartoon series on comedy central based around this, and people seem to like it just fine. ; )

Commercial use and artistic expression are entirely different things.

Are you feeling drawn back to art just because you want to make art? Make something beautiful/artistic or do you have dreams of royalty checks and exhibitions?

What mediums have you used in the past? Did you have a favorite?

Here is something that just popped into my head.
What if you did a single panel, or very few panels, comic book style.
Just draw/sketch even slight doodle in stick figures. Make a storyboard and add your own narrative/dialog later, or not at all.

Maybe that'd jump start your juices, or not. Whatevs.
