Aside from being a terrible song, the above title is an excellent question, and one that Rachael posed to me the other night. oh. p.s. i will however, be on robot hiatus starting friday for winter break. let's hang.

Sacrifice I can choose or not choose. That is intellectual. The things we love we want to pay attention to and attention leads to knowing. Roland couldn't write that love letter unless he paid attention. What sacrifice does that entail? Maybe the sacrifice of not paying attention to something else. Maybe focus is a kind of sacrifice? Is entwined life (as illustrated in Fiddler on the Roof) love or is it a byproduct of love? You have to ask these questions so your answer is complete ( ... )

I'll tell you what love is. You had the right idea when you were talking about self-sacrifice but you're not exactly where you need to be. I hate to admit it but even as an English major my powers of discourse fail me from time to time so I'll make due with a series of examples ( ... )
