I KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN!!!!!! THEY THINK THAT THEY KNOW EVERYTHING ABOUT ANY SITUATION AND THINK THAT YOU ARE NOT CAPABLE OF HANDLING IT PROPERLY AND IT DOESN'T EVEN OCCURR TO THEM THAT MAYBE THEY ARE MESSING UP WHAT IS GOING SMOOTHLY FOR ONCE, AND THAT THEY ARE MAKING A HORRIBLE IMPRESSION ON OTHER PEOPLE ABOUT YOU!!!!! AAAAAAAAAUUUUUUUGGGGGHHHH! Why do our moms have to be this way?!?!?! Did I tell you what my mom did when we were choosing senior pictures? Grrrrrrrrrrr. Just in case you haven't noticed, I'm totally with you about having mom issues. Let me know if you want to go vent or anything, because I could do with it too. I will stop ranting and fuming now. ~Kasey

My sentiments precisely.
And I never did hear about the senior picture fiasco. I think that I will write it in my planner so I remember to ask you about it tomorrow after school... :)
We should definitely get together and have a rant sometime. They're always so cleansing in their own way.
AGREED LADIES! They really need to grow up, and by grow up, I mean realize that WE'RE growing up. They really have to let go of the small things - especially when they're WRONG about something and just making assumptions, as your mom did with the IMing. My mom does that all the time too. We constantly have blow ups about it because she "doesn't know why it bothers me" and then after a while she understands what I'm saying about making assumptions and running a mile with them, but then a week later she'll do it again and we'll go through the whole process again.
Back to your story though - yeah, having that happen on the phone with your potential employer could be a little er VERY embarrassing. But hey, he's probably had a menopausal mom too and will be understanding. Families are imperfect for everyone.
I've stopped blowing up at mom- at least for the time being. The last time we had a huge all-out yelling fight was probably about this time last year, if not a little later. And we were a lot better with each other after that. Then again, I wasn't expected to get a job and all of this other junk this time last year, so that kind of adds to it
( ... )
ah, ha ha! The evil cycle of life! We become our parents! NO!!! Good thing I am me...I think Andrew will turn out more like Dad...then I can be rich and ostentatious and shallow and love it. Yep. Kidding. I'm glad that she apologized, it's always a good sign. Take it as a blessing...she gave you life, apparently that means something somewhere...haha. I'll see ya tomorrow!
But it wasn't a true apology... it rarely is with her. It's like, "I'm sorry I lost my temper, but I still meant everything I said." Which is a shit apology, if you ask me. If you aren't sorry for what you said, is there a point apologizing while really not apologizing??
But yeah. Please don't become shallow... or is that too late? Dun dun dun....
