Entry #738- I say shotgun you say wedding, shotgun, wedding, shotgun, wedding

What the fuck happened to the youth of today?? What happened to common courtesy, respect, integrity, everything else we were all taught at young ages? Ugh. I am thoroughly disgusting by what I witnessed earlier. I cannot believe it.

I think that all that stuff we were taught as kids stopped with our generation. My cousins weren't even taught any of that. I try to get kids today to be like I was forced to be, but it doesn't work. I have to blame the parents, they allow the kids to watch too much tv that no one cares. At least that is how I see it.

I think it's partially society's fault, although I hate to give parents a scapegoat, because it to mostly their fault... but... Society looks down upon discipling (especially physically) because it is considered "child abuse" by politically correct standards. Quite frankly, I was spanked as a child... and I'll tell you what, two or three times of that was enough to get it through to my head that I was NOT supposed to act that way. I think I came out quite well, considering that my family would probably be considered abusive by today's standards.

I agree with that to. I was spanked with a Leather belt. Hell I was even abused (by the standards back then) when I was a child. Though the rules have sure changed. Now you aren't allowed to spank hard enough to leave a mark. When we were kids it was the mark would have to stay what? a day or something? now it is if there is a mark for more than five minutes it is abuse. Society in America has gotten soft. Yet at the same time they also have all this stuff around about having sex then turn around and say it is bad....oh sorry I was about to go into rant mode lol.
