I think organized religion is one of the worst things in this country. There's three things you're not supposed to talk about, Politics, Religion, and something else that I don't remember, but that's besides the point. Everyone so blatantly tells me how God is the right way, when I see their lives plummeting downhill. Where was God on that one? I ( Read more... )

i think the bible is crap, and that there is no god. it's just a bunch of bullshit, and there is no proof of any of it. some religions are based off something, and don't claim to know everything that is going to happen and that their way is the right way. i respect that. but these fucking christians and their creationism and claiming that evolution is as much of a theory as much as creadtionism is, just gets on my nerves. there are facts to evolution, even though it's still 'a theory', but what facts are there to creationism? cuz a book that god told some guy to write said so? and we're supposed to buy that? i don't. i can go on about religion for a long time, and there are numerous posts i made in my LJ about it... so i'll just stop for now cuz i'm sure you know what i'm saying anyway. it's just nice to see another person not falling for this facade (sp?)....

see you tomorrow, (and in hell!! =P)

Sometimes you just can't hold all of your opinions in, and though I know I will offend some people, it's nice to get it out.

the argument of science versus religion for our origin will never be settled. even if there is sufficient, solid evidence that is ever uncovered that proves either side of the argument to be true, it is an argument where, since both sides are equally vehement in convincing the world that they're right, the other side will not accept even bare facts. but i agree, i think science is more likely and makes more sense.
personally, i think a balance between religion and science would be best, but organized religion has always worried me. midland has many, many churches compared to any other city i've been to, and i got to see what it was really like. i won't go into my own belief here though, since i've already typed a lot.

I dislike Christianity due to the circular logic behind it. I dislike the fact that I am instantly a sinner upon birth because...well just because thats why. I dislike that I am going to go to hell as that sinner because well I am born that way. I just have trouble understanding a God that is Ompnipotent creating a basically flawed(with sin) creature and then being upset when they don't bow down and beg forgiveness just for there own existance. If you are all powerful and all knowing why are you even putting me through this bullshit game. You know if I am going to win and go to heaven or I am going to lose and go to hell. If I go to hell and you made me already knowning that I am going to hell, you sent me to hell. Is god so weak willed that he needs a fucking ego boost by creating an entire species just to have them exist to tell him how wonderful he is and how horrible they are. People can tell me all they want that god loves me but man its hard to believe when he puts us through so much fucking bullshit. Fuck god. The end.

The point Tim is not why are we here. If we spend all our time trying to answer that bullshit question nothing will get done. The kind of people who spend there entire time looking at that question are the kind who will never truely be satisfied with life. If you were given an easle and some paint brushes would you spend your entire life trying to figure out who made it? Fuck that, you paint boy. My logic is I am here I am going to live my life to the best of my ability. It may not end up being perfect but I am going to try my best regardless if there is a big magic man in the sky watching me shower. And on the off chance that there is a big magic man in my sky I hope he would be contentful enough that I lived my life as best as I can not to toss me into a giant lake of fire where people get their dicks eaten by snakes.

the third thing is dead babies.

the only thing constant in christianity is antisemitism. there is hate all over the world that can never be escaped because it just doesnt disappear. religion IS for the most part an excuse to make up for all of our mistakes. but just look back at the holocaust when christians denied jews everything because of their lifestyles and beliefs. no one can say what comes from in the afterlife until you die.
