Okay, so I'm sitting at home on my day off, flipping through TV channels, looking for something worthwhile...or at least mind-numbing, when I come across CMT (for those lucky enough not to live in the sphere of country-western regions that don't carry such channels- that's Country Music Television). i could have told you this months ago because i have friends who play this crap just to get on my nerves. they know i hate this stuff and think it is the devil spawn. mastin especially would do that. but i am going to have to agree with you wholeheartedly.

country has sucked for a long, long time. Haggard and Cash were probably disgraced by being mentioned in the same entry as these new "country" "artists". Cash is the man. Plain and simple.

Everytime I see that band Big & Rich on TV, I want to send a mafia crew to execute them. Same for those fucktards who call themselves Rascal Flatts.

Actually, want to know something funny? That song was a pop song and it was remade by whoever now sings it in a country accent. Not only that but the songs is only a couple years old. And the guy with the country accent sings it exactly the same as the original, just with a twang. Yeah, so he sucks and rips songs off.

amazing..so he has no talent in singing, but he can't write a song either..he has to use somebody else's...I mean..I think you can get a pass for doing a cover if you're an established artist...but some new up and comer can't even think of doing so...
there are exceptions to the established artist rule i.e.- alanis morrissette covering Seal's "Crazy"...blAH! and also..I just saw Dolly Parton doing a cover of Collective Soul's "Shine"...I just can't deal..THE DUDE WILL NOT ABIDE!!! I mean, I love me some Dolly Parton...Jolene!! 9 to 5!! but come on dolly...covering collective soul? i mean its not horrible..but..its just..wrong. apparently her boobs have finally impaired her ability to think.

You know what I also hate? You will laugh at me, but I hate the fact that every kid who has been in a Disney Channel movie or show gets some kind of record deal or chance to sing in front of an audience when they have no more than average talent. Grrrr that makes me so mad!!!! Why not give those chances to the amazing people out there, the ones Robin just mentioned!!!
