I missed everyone/thing TERRIBLY.
FIRST BATCH
OF NYC PICS.
One of our suitcases was devoted solely to food. It weighed 87 lbs!! (On the way back it weighed 19. Haha.)

for Christopher, the boy I was babysitting, we went to see the Mets vs. the Braves.
7th inning stretch. Complete with alcohol.

remember that painting of the construction workers sitting on the scaffolding of a new high rise? Well .. that's the statue version, from behind. =\
that used to be whole and it used to sit in between the World Trade Center twin towers .. and now it's in Battery Park and in welded pieces.
That Liberty Lady,
who, because, according to me,
is a GREAT BIG PIECE OF CHEAP JEWELRY,
has changed from coppery colored
to GREEN
from the sea air.
Also a waste of time. I am such a bad American.
Ehh .. that's on the Statue of Liberty island and you were supposed to be able to see how incredible the city looked in between those trees .. whatev.
ELLIS ISLAND WAS HxC!!
also Ellis Island .. also hardcore.
Lots of buildings. I was on the ferry.

The Toys 'R' Us .. AND THE MIDNIGHT BOOK RELEASE PARTY.
Well .. it was midnight!
The line wrapped all the way around the block. Eek!
Hehe. So clever.

The view from our hotel room .. whatever .. we had to pull lots of curtains closed at night so that it would actually seem like, well, NIGHT. It was so bright, it was like daytime!
