Yeah, this sucks. I'm an amature photographer, so I don't know if I'm much in the position to say this, but I think a lot of digital photography is a cop out. You can snap and snap and snap for free, fix all the problems on photoshop, mimic darkroom effects, and have great pictures with little knowledge of photography at all.

But i definitley understand switching over. Photography is very expensive.

Heres something I do to lessen the outrageous price of film developement and prints. Take them in, get them developed only for about 2.50, then when you get the negatives back look at them on a light table to decide which ones you like. Prints are about 19 cents a peice I think. So if your roll is bad, you only have say 3 worthwile pictures, you're buying those 3 pictures, not all the mess-ups.

That is a good idea. However, prints are about 40cents or so at the good places around here. And to get a roll only film deveoped is about $6. Of course I go to the higher end places because no matter what their product is above any standards ( ... )
