I used to be a diehard Mac user/Mac lover, but I'm not so sure anymore.

I've been helping my mom set up her new Mac, and I've been ripping my hair out for the past two days. Her old Mac (which was about 8 years old) ran Outlook Express and Internet Explorer. It was a good computer, but very slow by today's standards. So she got a new Mac, and of course I'm the one who gets the job of setting it up and transferring everything from the old one to the new one. Long story short: the new one won't let me import her IE favorites, her OE messages or her OE address book.

Mac OS X is about as user friendly as an 18th century torture device. : (

I never thought I'd be more comfortable with Windows than Mac OS, but thanks to Apple deciding that it would be fun to take UNIX and put a pretty interface on top of it, that's where I'm at.

Good to know, good to know. I'd be clueless when it came to the inner runnings of a mac, just know the basics, but man are computers annoying!
I reinstalled xp for the 7th time sunday night. I've barely touched it since then, I'm waiting for it to self-destruct under my fingertips.
