What we thought was a worm in her belly turned out to be fluid backup due to an incurable case of feline AIDS. Once a cat has this, there's nothing they can do. Nothing at all. My foot has fallen asleep --- so fast asleep that I cannot feel it AT ALL.
But because life must balance out, the rest of me is almost painfully awake, having had too much coffee.
